YOUR INFORMATION / YOUR RIGHTS

Privacy notice

Clear information about how we handle yours.

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. Who we are

VIKEMARA (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/803674/07, is a South African cybersecurity business and the responsible party for the personal information described here. Contact info@vikemara.com, marked “Privacy enquiry”.

2. Scope

This notice covers our public website and enquiries about consulting or Veymoris, including visits redirected from vikemara.co.za. Customer engagements and product use may involve additional notices, contracts and data-processing terms appropriate to their scope. The public website does not provide customer sign-in, assessment uploads or payment collection.

3. Information and sources

Information comes from you, your browser or device, and the providers delivering these services. Share another person’s information only if authorised. Please do not email passwords, credentials, identity documents or sensitive assessment evidence; contact us to arrange an appropriate channel.

4. Purposes and lawful grounds

We use information to deliver and protect the website, investigate technical issues, respond to enquiries, scope requested services, manage correspondence and meet applicable legal obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, we rely on steps towards or performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing our business, a legal obligation, or consent. Visiting this site is not blanket consent for unrelated uses.

Enquiry details are voluntary; without enough information we may be unable to respond or prepare a proposal. Technical request information is necessary to deliver the website. The site does not make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Cookies and links

Our website code does not set advertising cookies or include advertising trackers, embedded social-media widgets or third-party analytics scripts. Fonts and imagery are served with the site. Cloudflare may use technical cookies or similar mechanisms where needed for security and service delivery.

Email links open your email application and involve your email provider. External links lead to other organisations whose privacy notices apply to their services.

6. Providers and overseas processing

Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery and security. Microsoft 365 provides company email and related services. These providers and their subprocessors may process relevant information. Authorised personnel, professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary for the stated purposes or required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside South Africa. Overseas processing must have a lawful basis under POPIA section 72, including applicable contractual protections or another permitted ground. Do not assume all website or email information stays in South Africa.

See the Cloudflare privacy policy and Microsoft Data Protection Addendum.

7. Retention and safeguards

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose, applicable legal requirements, or legal claims. Enquiry records are reviewed against continuing business need. Provider technical logs follow relevant service settings and retention terms. Information no longer required is deleted, de-identified or securely disposed of, subject to lawful retention and backup cycles.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access restrictions and account security. No internet service is completely risk-free. Where a security compromise requires notification under POPIA, the applicable notification requirements will be followed.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request confirmation of processing and access to your information, correction, deletion where permitted, or object on the relevant grounds. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it; this does not invalidate earlier lawful processing.

Email info@vikemara.com. We may need proportionate information to verify identity or clarify your request. Applicable formal processes, fees or lawful restrictions will be explained. The Regulator provides POPIA forms and PAIA access guidance.

9. Marketing

An enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing list. Any future electronic direct marketing must meet POPIA’s requirements and provide an appropriate way to object or unsubscribe.

10. Complaints and changes

You can raise concerns with us or complain directly to the Information Regulator (South Africa); you do not have to contact us first.

We update this notice when relevant practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
